Claw Lesions, Diseases, and Manifestations

Heel Erosion

Description: The normally smooth bulb of the heel becomes pitted and then ridged. The loss of heel horn reduces the shcok absorption function of the heel, making it difficult for the animal to move. Can be controlled by regular claw trimming and regular footbath use.
