Claw Lesions, Diseases, and Manifestations

Laminitis and Subacute Laminitis

Description: Laminitis can be the underlying cause of other diseases such as ulcers, white line disease, heel erosion and double sole. The complex network of blood vessels between the claw and the claw horn are seriously damaged, which comprimises the function of the horn-producing cells. Laminitis can be subclinical, acute, or chronic, depending on the severity of the several causative variables.
